A Winter Wedding at Home

Katie and Chuck waited a long time to find one another. Anyone who knows them would agree that it was worth the wait. The love they share is contagious. Rather than celebrate that love with a lavish affair, they got married in a way that suits them perfectly. It was a cozy winter day in their own home with gentle snow falling outside. Simple, beautiful and real...just like the love they share. 


          

The Great Quest

I was thrilled that my oldest son wanted to take part in his school play. I was even more excited when I was asked to photograph the dress rehearsal leading up to "The Great Quest." GEAR Productions is a group of artists whose goal is to provide positive performance experiences to the students of South Kingstown. Standing for "Give Everyone A Role," this special organization offers every student an opportunity to take part in a one of a kind production. Playwright Director, Beth Barry, has an amazing command of the students and has mastered a "Shhhhhh" that had every mother in the audience truly mesmerized. The play was amazingly artistic, creative and touching. The most impactful part was probably how successful each student was at conquering their role. Having school staff members take part was an added bonus, emphasizing the sense of community bond and school esteem that GEAR Productions stands for.
